6. Publish
It doesn't take much to make your finished map accessible to your readers. Either you share the already existing URL of your map (you can copy the address from the live view in your browser) or you embed your map directly on your website.
Turn the finished version live
Before using any of the variants, make sure that your most recent version of the map is live. Only content in the live version will be visible in the published version.
Manage access
If your map is freely accessible, i.e. if your readers do not need password protection, access must be set to "freely accessible". If your map is in a protected area, it is very important that access is set to "limited".
Embed Map
If you want to embed the map directly on your website, use one of the two options: 1. via iFrame + Skript or 2. via embed-code + Skript
With iFrame, the map is placed directly on your page. With the embed-code a thumbnail is embedded. If you click on it, the map opens above your website in a popup in the browser window.
In both variants, the URL for your readers will always remain your website URL.
Example iFrame incl. Deeplink-Script
width="100%" height="100%" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="true">
Important: Make sure that there are no line breaks in the URLs.

The Deeplink-Script So you also have the deep links for your website URL, it is important that you insert the scripts described above together with your embed variant in any case. Protected embedding on your own website: If the map should only be accessible to a limited group of readers, we can provide or develop a connection to existing systems on request, e.g. via SAML, SSH, SSO or an iFrame with password protection.

Whoops! Your browser unfortunately does not support all the necessary technical parts needed to display this map. This happens if your browser is outdated or if JavaScript is turned off. Almost all latest browsers support the knowledge map system. Please use a newer version of your web browser to ensure a delightful experience. The newer browsers are also more secure. Thank you!
